Quando você fala que é do Brasil – o que vem na cabeça de muita gente aqui em Nova York são as modelos, todas lindas. Entre as que moram aqui estão a Luciana Curtis, Alessandra Ambrosio (LA também), Ana Beatriz Barroz, Jeisa Chiminazzo entre outras… E o que descobri é que a maioria delas fazem seus tratamentos de beleza no Maria Bonita Salon que é um cabelereiro e spa frequentado por apenas brasileiras – e faz a a gente se sentir no Brasil mesmo – desde o cafézinho que servem com brigaderio (da Brigadeiro Bakery yummy!) até o jeito que eles fazem o pedicure para as mulheres… The brazilian wax! Que é o ponto alto. O salão foi aberto a 13 anos no Soho, na Prince St, e em breve vão se mudar para um outro espaço no Soho também! Vale a pena conhecer!

When you say you’re Brazilian – a lot of people in NY think about our gorgeous models. Luciana Curtis, Gisele, Alessandra Ambrosio, Ana Beatriz Barros and Jeisa Chiminazzo are amongst the ones living here – and I just found out that the majority of them goes to the same Hair & Salon spa called Maria Bonita Spa and Salon – which is a beauty heaven in the heart of Soho that makes you feel like you’re in Brazil p starting from the “çafezinho’’ with Brigadeiro (from the Brigadeiro Bakery) they serve until the brazilian way of doing mani and pedi – as well as the famous Brazilian wax. Definitely worth the visit.

By the way, the salon is moving to a much bigger and nicer space in two months – on Mott and Spring.
